Kids Need Training Just as Much as Dogs Do
Kids need training just as much as dogs do. Teaching kids empathy & kindness towards all animals should be instilled from day 1! I love teaching Thea about dogs. I love teaching her to be gentle, to use a quieter voice, to train using treats & toys, to always be aware of their body language & to always be kind. She is great with my dogs & the dogs we regularly walk together, however I’m still very much aware that Thea is just 3 and that dogs are dogs. Dogs can have off days, they can be under the weather, in pain, tired & grumpy, which reduces their tolerance for wild children. Never get complacent & always train your kids & your canines! Though the internet had some interesting advice to share on the matter.
